Jacqui You need to re-read the thread as I have posted a possible marriage for Thurza (to Stephen Leveritt) and her spouse as a widower living with Thurza's mother and step-father in 1861 and Keith has posted the death of Thurza Leveritt. Also you may find Thirza is just with grandparents in 1841. Gail. x

Possible death for Thurza Name: [Ft]*a Leveritt (image says Thurza) Year of Registration: 1860 Quarter of Registration: Oct-Nov-Dec District: Sheffield County: South Yorkshire, Yorkshire - West Riding Volume: 9c Page: 262 Looks like Stephen went to live with the In Laws.

Hi Jacqui Thirza on the 1841 'could' be with her grandparents - perhaps Sarah's name was Gladall before she became Rhodes. Looks possible that Thurza married Stephen Leveritt and then died before 1861. Gail. x

Hello Jacqui Bit of a mystery this as Thirza on 1841 is given as living with a family called Gladall: Robert Gladall 55, wife Ann 55, Children, Eliza Geoffrey and Mark There is a correction on Thirza' s birthplace : Not born in same county: It would appear she wasn't born in Derbyshire. Also on 1851 Tirza is shown as 'servant' from Sheffield in Yorkshire. Think 'daughter in law' is a fib or error. Hope this helps Alex

Hi Jacqui I am not sure that she is 'the spouse of Alexander' as she is down as Daughter in Law, this can also mean 'Step-daughter'. 1851 for reference Tirza Rhodes Age: 15 Estimated birth year: abt 1836 Relation: Daughter-in-law Spouse's name: Alexander Where born: Sheffield, Yorkshire, England Civil parish: Troway County/Island: Derbyshire Street address: Ridgeway Moor Reg Dis: Chesterfield Sub-registration district: Bolsover Tirza Rhodes 15 Unmarried Alexander Turner 22 Unmarried Richard Turner 26 Robert Turner 56 Carpenter employing 2 men Sarah Turner 39 Source Citation: Class: HO107; Piece: 2148; Folio: 371; Page: 15; GSU roll: 87781.
