Over a year ago I wrote to a lady I traced hoping that she could fill in some blanks on my tree but she never replied, I put a thread on here asking if anyone thought I should try again, it seems I went slightly wrong and just wrote her a letter not enclosing anything to prove what I was saying. Last year was my annus horribilis and so I never got around to trying again. Yesterday I thought give it another go so letter written and enclosing small family tree and photo, on my way to work went two miles out of my way and dropped it through her letter box and this evening YES YES YES she has phoned me and I am going to meet her on Sunday and she told me she has the same photo as I had sent her. So thanks to those who told me to write again it may have taken me over a year to get around to it but I did and I am so looking forward to going to meet her must just get my notebook out and write down all the questions I want to ask, anyone got any advise on to take a note book a small tape or both and what sort of questions to ask. Thanks Pam XX

if she is that close, go with the flow - dont bombard her with questions like an inquisition! have some notes, ask Q's from the notes, and dont push too hard for stuff that she might not be happy to impart straight off ( oh and take a bunch of daffies with you!)

Good luck. I suppose you can understand that these days people are dubious that things can be a con or scam. I hope you have a lovely time.
