Yesterday by googling I found a Chancery case for my husband's family in the 1790s. I phoned the records office in Wales and they have 11 bundles of documents!! Today by searching the National Archives database - go to Documents Online and look at the search options - I used the Death Duty Registers to search and found my husband's g-g-g-g grandfather's will (1809). He survived his two sons and was leaving everything to his grandchildren. For those of you who haven't used the National Archives website before, it's really worth a visit. I have found about 10 wills for my large tree since the beginning of the year - I'm still transcribing some of them. http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/documentsonline/

I wasn't sure what I was doing at first on this site till someone helped me and found a docuement my rellie wrote in 1833. It was in the university manuscripts as part of a bundle and I was able to go and look through the docuements as they were at the university in the town I live, couldn't believe my luck. My rellie had actually written the docuement (dead excited at this point holding it but couldn't shout as it was a library) and it now sits pride of place in my collection!
