If you can find the couple on the census then the ages of their children will enable you to work out roughly when they were married. You then go to the BMD marriage records and take it from there

You do NOT have to subscribe to Ancestry to search the full bmd indices.....you merely have to register with the site. ALL England/Wales bmd's are free on Ancestry................... Reg

Gill I'm starting with marriages from about the last part of the 1800's. I know dates of birth and a couple of marriage dates but not how to access places and further family onformation. Barbara

By hunting thru pages and pages of marriages , and hope they got married sooner rather than later and in a logical place!!

This is probably a question which has been asked a million times but I still don't know the answer. How do you find out when and where someone was married if you've only got a name and a date of birth to go on?
