Hi I wonder if anyone can help or advise me? Last year a person contacted me with a query about a relation in my tree. I have looked through my 'sent messages' and as far as I can tell, I didn't send her one back, nor did I open my tree. I was looking through my 'Shared Trees' the other day and noticed that hers was open to me, so I had a look. There was all my information, research and pictures. O.K., I thought, must be a relation. But when I looked for her name all I got was MY stuff, not even her name on her own tree! I have since deleted my Pics, and consequently, hers have disappeared. What can I do? I can't delete all my info. I would be grateful if anyone can advise. Regards Lynda I have put this message on the 'General board too, as I wasn't sure which one was apropriate

Lynda Oh dear, I hate to be the one to tell you this, but you have fallen foul of the latst GR 'improvements'. What you are seeing is your OWN tree, not hers. There have been numerous threads about this in the past few days. OC

Hi This happened to me and I very stupidly emailed the person whose tree I thought I had opened and asked them to remove my details from their tree not realizing I was looking at my own tree and not theirs. Unfortunately I only found this thread this afternoon and realized what I had done. I have emailed back and apologized - hope I didn't upset him too much as he seems like quite a helpful person Aargh !! Clare
