My husbands family are proving impossible to track down. I have a birth certificate for a daughter and a marriage certificate for the parents but neither document has given me enough information to track them down. They are not on the 1901 census at all - none of them, even though I know at least 4 of them were around. I believe the father was in the army but my husband was always led to believe he was in the Blackwatch, his wedding certifictae says Irish Fusiliers and his daughters birth certificate says Scotch Fusiliers. Anyone got any ideas what I can do to find them? Nadine |

If he was in the army he may have travelled about abit. have you tried looking for them in the 1901 scottish census? If you give me some names and dates i'll take a wee look for them. Mhairi |
