Hi! I am trying to find details of my ancestor in Ireland. I have found him living in Leeds in 1851 with his wife and numerous children. There is no record of the family on the 1841 census, so he obvously arrived during the intervening ten years. Can anyone give me advice on how I can search for the family before they arrived in Leeds - and where would they have landed? Thanks, Penny |

Dear Penelope Thousands of Irish people left Ireland during the potato famine in the years 1846- 1851. Try www(.)cyndislist(.)com - remove brackets for passenger lists. There's a strong possibility they might have come into Liverpool from Ireland. Best of luck Maria |
