Elizabeth Webster c1795 place of birth unknown Ann(e) Webster 1830 born Highgate Middlesex I am not sure where they are likely to be living. In 1832 to about 1837 they were in Highgate Middlesex. In 1851 Ann(e) was in Botley Hampshire. There are links to Norfolk and Surrey and the family came from froyle in Hampshire. elizabeth was either a dressmaker, a dup maker or a servant. (The person she worked for as servant - Elizabeth Langford - died in 1838. any help would be appreciated. Ann Glos

Just giving these WEBSTERs a nudge.. I can't see them in 1841 either. Were Ann's parents still alive. ? Was William a coachman to another family? Gwyn

Hi Gwyn, thanks for the nudge. I am pretty sure that William had died before 1837, Ann Swabey on this board very kindly traced the will of William and Elizabeth's employer Mrs Langford for me. She mentions her faithful servant Elizabeth Webster (she is Ann's mother) but not William. I also think Elizabeth Langford died in December 1838 so Elizabeth Webster would have had to move on, I wondered if she went to one of the other members of the family. She is definitely not with Elizabeth Langford's son Rev Sainsbury Langford Sainsbury as he and his family are in Foyle in 1841. Strange thing is, I am sure that a couple of weeks ago I found Elizabeth and Ann in Norfolk, but I can't find the copy of the census (I always print copies off. The only thing is, I vaguely remember that Ann's age didn't quite fit if it was her. But I can't for the life of me find them again. (sick of the Websters yet?) Ann Glos

Ozibird, correct, she is living with her Aunt Harriet (nee Webster) near her future husband William Duffin in Botley. No sign of Elizabeth anywhere as far as I can make out, but she may have died by then of course. Ann Glos
