What happened could be that Ann was visiting her daughter on census night and was entered on the schedule correctly. Her family where she usually lived put her on their form either because they forgot she wasn't there that night or they thought that they had to put on all the family who usually lived there. Alternatively Elisha got confused as to the night that Ann was visiting. There are quite a few instances of this on the various censuses. |
