Hi kind people, anyone fancy trying to find a marriage for me please. I've just drawn blanks on this one: Louisa Gibbs(c1856) born in London to John Turner (c1855) born in London. I believe it took place between 1871 - 1881 info. taken from Censuses. It would almost certainly have taken place in Bethnal Green/Hackey/Whitechapel/Bishopsgate. Thanks anyone. Linda

Linda, Can you post them in 1871 and 1881? I can see 2 couples in 1881 that might fit. Rose

OK, That's why I couldn't find them in 1881 because they weren't together. This is Ellen's birth: Births Dec 1880 Turner Ellen Louise Hackney 1b 593 Odd thing is, she's listed as 24 in 1901. Rose

You've got 2 different families here. Ellen and Louisa are still with Silas and Jane in 1891. Louisa Gibbs must have married Frederick George. Rose

Hi Rose, I'm more than confused! 1901 Census I know is correct and it looks like John is dead/gone. 1891 Census John Turner (Head)Wine Cellarman, Louisa (Wife) and Ellen L (Daug.) are at 17 Sidney Terr./Rd. but you have also found them living 151 High St. with Johns family. Would it have been possible to register yourself on 1891 Census twice. 1881 Census makes sense as Louisa had just had a baby (Ellen), might she have been being cared for by her mum Jane Gibbs. Georgina may have something when she asked if she married Fred not John. (John did have a brother Fred.). Linda

Hi Rose, Thanks for your patience, it took me a long time but I've finally got there, I never dreamed there would be so many people with so similar identities. Linda
