i know they had quite a few children 7 i think i know for definate they had a daughter called agnes jane born 1932others as far as my mum tells me where called billy,joan,margaret,june,joyce and martin..and i dont know when they died..

In the 1901 census most of the Martin Connelly's are born in Ireland and most are Boarders/lodgers so not much help there. Do you know if John or Agnes had any siblings? (brothers and sisters) If yes, where they older or younger? oh and when did John and Agnes die? Mhairi

The big problem being that this name sounds suspiciously Irish to me. 1871 ancestry gives this family: However on the image it actually says Conway - so Im a bit confused by it. i havent got the birth cert of john connelly..i have got the age from his marriage cert and cant on records find his dob record..but thanks for the other tips i will carry on hunting cheers chris

What certificates have you got so far? John Conollys birth cert would give his father and mothers names and then you could look for their marriage cert which would give their fathers names and go backwards from there. Have you looked on freebmd and failing that looked at ancestry complete index (both are free). You could look for Martin on the 1881 census - thats also free on familysearch.org

right,i'm looking for a martin connelly possible dob 1869..i know he had a son john willam connelly born 1906..i would just like any info on either eg how they married ect also i'm stuck on a thomas charles robinson father of a an agnes mary robinson..hope some very nice person can shed some light on these for me i would be very grateful christine
