printing off census forms.

How can I print them off without the thick black border around the edges which takes so much ink. I saw an instruction on here a few weeks ago but cannot find it now. Hoping someone can help. Thanks Julie

You need something like Irfanview which you can crop, rotate etc the images. Think the website is called something like Tucows. Plenty of others around. Maureen

Microsoft Photo Editor does the job as well (along with loads of similar other programmes). Just save the image to your files then open it up in your chosen programme. Choose the crop tool and then re-save it under a different name once you have 'chopped it up a bit'.

I use picasa 2 since seeing it recommended on the tips board about 2 months ago.(think that is the one you saw). It is good for storing your photos on as well,as it organizes them into a library,and they are not tiny thumb-nails.It is a google site. Good luck. Brenda

Brenda, I am a dip stick when it comes to working how to do things on the computer. i have picasa for my photo`s, but need guidance as to how to save to it. Help please. Kathlyn

If you right click on the census form it will come up with a list, click the save as button, it should then save to your imaging programme (whichever you use to download photos.) A box will then come up and you have the option to open the file. You can then crop and print it as normal photo. Ann Glos
