Ordering a copy Birth Cert- do I need full name?

	Hi all, I am having a brain storm!!! If I want to order a copy b/c via the GRO, do I need the mother's first name? Or is the surname all I need....I think I just need the surname, but can someone reassure me please.!! Thank you.

	Hi WTW, no it's not more than 50yrs and yes, have all the vol/page numbers etc.

Member Since: March 2003 Posts: 1,501 Send Message	For a BC less than 50 years old you will need to know all of the details surname forename date of birth mother surname at the time of birth Mothers maiden name place of birth fathers forename fathers surname If you dont know all this you could try being sneaky with the local record office that holds the birth, but I very much doubt you will get away with it.
