HELP PLEASE IS THERE ANYWAY OF TRACING A NURSE IN SURREY SHE WAS BORN IN CARDIFF 1901 ETHEL ANNIE HORWOOD MARRIED HERBERT NEWMAN IN 1938 I KNOW SHE WAS A NURSE IN SURREY A METAL HOSPITAL I WAS TOLD BUT I CAN FIND HIS OR HER DEATH DONT KNOW IF IT WAS CARDIFF OR SURREY AND IS THERE ANYWAY OF FINDING OUT WHEN AAND WHERE SHE WAS ANURSE MANY THANKS SAFFRON

Brookwood Hospital is one place I can think of. Try finding their records. Rose

I know of Royal Earlswood Hospital, Redhill, Surrey (my g grandparents met there) Then there was Netherne Hospital, Coulsdon, Surrey Cane Hill (I think), also in Coulsdon Hope this helps a bit!! Clare x

There was also a large cluster of mental hospitals around Epsom, the ones I can remember were Horton, Long Grove, Manor and St Ebbas. I think most of them are closed now but records are probably at Surrey Record Office (Woking) or National Archives (Kew). Carolyn
