Thanks Pauline This is so sad. I cant imagin why/how this substance was so easily at hand! Annies Father was a keymaker and died the year before (1863) He died of a fever. Gerri x |

I have the death cert of a 3 year old child d1864.... Cause of death... ..Injuries caused by a quantity of oil of vitriol being thrown over her. she died 3 days after. Would a key maker/locksmith have used this subtance in his work? Gerri x |
