Have Lavinia Gatting born 1856 in Devon married William Miltom in 1875 have a daughter Emma all three together on 1881 census in Devon..........................in 1886 he has daughter Georgina with next wife although dont marry intil 1891 Jane/Melinda those three plus a her daughter who has his name on census for 1891........................Can anyone find what happened to Lavinia, cant find a death or remarriage. He married 2nd wife by Superintendents Registrars certificate neear where they lived but not the same town.He says he is a widower.

Gail yes Emma did marry a Bennett and am in contact with that family but nobody knows what happened to Lavinia

If that is her would explain why william waited till 1891 to marry Melinda once Lavinia was dead, him and Melinda acted as if they were married on census and Georginas birth cert.
