several thousand names??????? 7860 to be exact!!!! How many thousands of years have you been researching?!!!

Thanks but sometimes I haven't even got an approximate date or country - I think it would be better if the system could allow those fields to be left blank. In my case I have several thousand names in my tree and don't want to have to upload it all again for some time.

I would imagine you make the changes on the tree from which the gedcom came, then upload again which will overwrite.

Can you not give an 'about' date for the births and simply England (or whatever country) for place?

How do you make a minor amendment to details uploaded via Gedcom to GenesReunited? I have several entries where minor corrections are required but when I have tried to do this I get a message asking for date of birth and place of birth which are details I don't have for these particular people. Is there some way to amend without getting these messages? Lesley Instone
