Chris, You jammy so and so........ The cert I wanted was for a member of my very elusive family, and where as the name is very unusual here in the south, oopppp north it is as commom as Smith or Brown. I will have another try and keep everything i have two of crossed. XXXX Kathlyn |

Kathlyn You have my sympathies...Been there and done that more times than I want to remember... But don't discount it just yet, it may turn out to be a rellie :) My best one was where I had a choice of two from the indices and as usual when it turned I up it was for a 9 year old boy not the 60 plus aged man I was hoping for. After the initial....Damn!!!!!!!....I looked at the cert in greater detail and it turned out to be the grandson of the man I was searching for. The boy had been born and had died between censuses so I wouldn't have necessarily ever found out about him as he was the son of my direct ancestor's brother. Anyway the cert gave the boy's father's name but best of all his grandfather registered the death and was recorded as such...Names and addresses proved they were all the same family! And yes the second index entry was the 'grandad's' and I now have that too. Chris |

I have just received a death cert and it is the wrong one. I expected one for a 3 year old but the one that arrived was for a 59 year old....Oh well, back to the drawing board. Kathlyn |
