A tip Julie, when people try and help, even if it is not a lot of help, a short thank you usually means people will try and help you more plus no one on here can do all the work for you.

Teresa With Irish Blood in Me Veins Report 18 Mar 2007 17:52

Hi Julie Do you know both his parents names as that would help when searching the Ancestry.com family trees. Do you have any idea where in Ireland that they came from? If you know for sure, then you can order his birth certificate from one of the Ireland GRO's as you have his DOB and his father's name. Apart from that it might help if you posted Trying to Find messages on here and on Ancestry.com under the name of Quigley and add as much info that you know of, like his father's occupation, etc. I managed to find a couple of my Grandfather's siblings grandchildren (my second cousins) by posting a message on Ancestry.com Have you asked around the family to see if they are in contact with any of your distant relatives..like their cousins. You never know what might turn up. Again I have found the children of my Mum and her sister's cousins from info given to me from my Aunt's address book....and I had know idea they existed or who they were yet we have discoverefd so much about our relatives now, it's been quite amazing. Hope this gives you some inspiration to go forward. Regards...Teresa
