If Gloucestershire Constabulary can't help ask if they have a museum (some police forces maintain private museums which normally dont admit the public. Also try the local museum and failing that drop a line to the police magazine Police Review at: Letters Police Review Magazine Sentinel House 163 Brighton Road Coulsdon, Surrey CR5 2YH When I was a PC in the 80's there were often letters asking for help with family research. Hope it goes well Colin

Try this link http://www.tetbury.org/police.htm This is the Gloucestershire Police Museum but I'm not sure quite how extensive their archive is.

have you contacted Gloucester Record Office? Some time back somebody - a former member on here, was looking for a gloucester policeman and I am sure they had information on the police. Ann Glos
