We all know that the Titanic sank on the way to North America, but less known is that the Empress of Ireland sank on May 29th 1914 while on route to England from Canada. The loss of life was 1012. If you know you had relatives who went to Canada but can't find them look at this website as it has a list of all the passengers on board the Empress of Ireland on that fateful voyage. http://www*shmp*qc*ca/ Remove the stars.
