could anyone tell me where to look for the info i get on here off all you great look up people.eg:when you find a name for us and it gives ages and names of all the people living at an address and who they are(grandparents,sons,daughters e.t.c.many thanks lesley

Well!! Ancestry for BMDS and census. Freebmd for BMDS also . and Family Search for 1881 census and parish records . Shirley

To add to what Shirley has said the sort of detail you refer to is from the census returns. If you can get back to before 1900 then they are a mine of information, taking you back to 1840, well worth the ancestry subscription.

you will need to subscibe for census. BUT you can look at the 1881 for free on Family Search site. May be a start for your research
