Barbara, the collections canada website also has list of home children sent to Canada from 1869 to 1930. You will find a list of all the databases here. http://www*collectionscanada*ca/genealogy/022-500-e.html Teresa |

Thanks for the tip, Paul - never heard of it, so I googled it, and came up with some scientific website. Can this help me? Can you guide me through it? Bx |

Teresa, do you know if children sent out under the 'Big Brother' scheme - e.g. from Children's Homes' - would be included in the passenger lists? They'd all be minors, so I'm wondering. (Not that I know what date or ship to check!) Bx |

For those of you who have family that went to Canada, the Collections Canada website have recently added the passenger lists for all ships to their website. There is no name index but you can search by date and/or name of ship. If you are searching, be aware that often the names are listed by class of passage eg: first class, second class etc. so you will have to look through all the pages even though they are alphabetical. address http://www*collectionscanada*ca/archivianet/passenger/001045-100.01-e.php Remove the stars.
