My grandfather sometimes gave his place of birth as Pimlico and his birth was registered under St George Hanover Square.

some parts of london in the 1850-80's were classed as middlesex and essex.

Pimlico is quite near the Houses of Parliament.

Sorry to have to correct previous poster but Pimlico is in SW London (right next to Victoria) and comes under the Westminster registration district regards Liz

If somone was born in Pimlico what would the registration district be for the birth certificate.Alice Clarke was born in 1877 in Pimlico but I don't know where to look for her. Heather
