Hello Mary Thanks for that, I'll give it a try. I haven't got much to go on as yet but I'll look into it. |

Do you happen to know which State they went to? Unfortunately, not all Australian States have BMDs online. To start off with, try looking here: http://www.naa.gov.au/The_Collection/recordsearch.html Choose 'Search now as a guest', and enter the name you're looking for. If any of them fought for Australia in WW2 you should find them there. Then go back to the first page and click on 'Passenger Lists' at the top of the page. The passenger list search gives passengers arriving in Fremantle, Western Australia, by ship between January 1926 and 1947. According to the site, many ships bound for the eastern Australian states passed through Fremantle. The Fremantle passenger lists include all those passengers who disembarked in Fremantle. They often also include all other passengers who travelled further on the same ship and disembarked in other Australian or overseas ports. |

How do you go about finding relatives who emigrated to Australia some time in the 20's or 30's |
