how do i find baptism records for 1915?

hi poirot yes i know the name of child(my grandfather) also the address where he was born,his mothers name(no father) your right to say that its toxteth park but he was adopted so dont know if his mother baptised him or his adopted parents,i have had a researcher from the liverpool records office do a search of some of the churches close to where he was born but to no avail,he was adopted not far away to smithdown rd.x

Suzanne, before you visit the Liverpool Record Office you first need to know the name of the child, names of parents, whether C/E or R/C, the address where they were living in 1915, so you can locate the relevent church nearest that address. ( There are maps on the wall for you to find the church.) I think the area you want is Toxteth Park ? am I right ? I have old maps and lists of churches if you need further help.

Do you actually mean baptism or birth certificates?

The relevant county record office will have them or it is possible they may still be at the church concerned.

You will most probably need to go to the records office. You could try google, put the place name and parish records (or similar) but I doubt you'll find anything. Sam x

is there any way of finding baptism records for lpool 1915 over the internet?or do i have to go to the lpool records office to look them up?xx
