Barbara, have you tried clicking on one of the quarters that does come up for the birth year, then clicking on the year link above. This will bring up the four quarters for the year. Click on the quarter he was born in, then the first letter of surname, then look through the images.

Can anyone help? I cannot find my Father's birth record due to the quarter being missing from Ancestry's records. Any Ideas as to how I can get a birth cert? Thanks Thanks guys, have traced him and got the Birth Cert today.
