Have used Encleann on four or five occassions and never had a problem with their work. The prices on the website are their standard prices however it can vary according to the level of work you want (their website will only accept their standard payments so I have often sent them a cheque or my credit card details). I gave them specific instructions of what I wanted them to do so they charged me based on an estimation of hours at their standard hourly rate. The cost of research does not include certificates - these can be ordered separately depending on the results of the search and there is a set price for each certificate. It also costs more if you want them to transcribe the certificates - they will simply list the results if you want and you can transcribe the details once you order and receive the certificates. The research took between 6-8 weeks to undertake and I received an electronic and paper version of their report. If you want to see a sample of their report and an indication of how much I paid then PM me. Have also used some of the other family history centres but not specifically a Dublin one. With kind regards Karen |
