Cop Winder in Scotland 1881

Hi, Does anyone know what a Cop Winder would have been in Scotland in 1881. This appears to be a womans occupation at least in my case. I have googled but not really found anything. In 1891 the occupation is jute preparer, still none the wiser. Regards Anne-Marie |

This may help: Cop Fitter - Fitted 'cops' to the looms. A cop is a cone onto which the yarn is wound after spinning, ready for weaving on the loom Deb |
