Its so frustrating, I have just bought credits so I can view bmd indexes on genes, I click on view and instead I get error report and genes closes down. I then come back onto genes and try again, and nothing. I have also lost a credit for viewing something I can't even view cause internet explorer keeps giving me pop up messages saying it needs to close. Any ideas on this will be great appreciated. thx Nicola x

Hi Nicola. Why are you paying for credits to view bmd indexes . You can view them free on Ancestry(.co.uk) Margaret

hi margaret, The bmd indexes that I need are between 1925 and 1970, unfortunately they don't have those records yet on ancestry and freebmd, as I have already tried searching. I am tracing my birth mothers parents that I have no information on. I have finally found most of what I am looking for but still can't view the bmd indexes on here. :( thx nicola

Nicola, Ancestry DO have the records that you are looking for if you go to there home page and then click on, England & Wales BMD Indexes. then click on,Complete BMD Index ranges & Images 1837-1983 and not the, Partial FreeBMD Indexes & Images 1837-1983 they are their Roy

Hi Roy, thank you for that, I tried just the search and went to bmd indexes and got nothing on the 1837 to 1984 so though that they didn't have the complete indexes, never thought to look on the home page for complete indexes. I have found it now :) thanks again Nicola
