Hi, I need help to locate a family on the 1881 and 1891 census please. Sarah Tansey born abt 1847 - Stoney stanton, Leicester Kate Tansey born abt 1885 - Stoney Stanton, Leicester Maggie Tansey born abt 1888 - Stoney Stanton, Leicester William Arthur Tansey born abt 18??(Sarah's son so about 1880?) I can not find William on any census, and I can only find the rest of his family on the 1901 census in Leicester. He can not be too far away as the woman he marries less than a year later is living with his mother in 1901. Any helpwould be great. Thank you Vicky

I don't know whether Sarah was married or not. I only know she was Williams mother because his future wife was living with her in 1901. Thanks for your help. Vicky

William's marriage cert would solve this one. I think it likely that he will be the Arthur in the 1891 family and not on the 1881 as ne was too young. I can't find him on the 1901 - he was probably visiting someone who didn't fill his name in on the form.
