If you type 'clergy' into the search box at the top of the page there are some other messages with useful websites on.

The book listing the clergy is Crockfords. Might be copies at your nearest large library.

Hello there, I only have flashbacks of him in my childhood memories! I have no information at all except the church where he was a priest. It's the classical story of whovever knew anything about him is dead now! But will try contacting the order. Thanks a lot Ann

Hi Ann, Have you tried contacting the order he was in? They may be able to help you out and give you a starting point. I know there is a sort of book which I think includes all religous persons names, which may be able to direct you to where he was prior to his death, I can't remember the name, but if you contact your own church they may be able to point you in the right direction, I don't think its a book you can buy though. Another thought do you know where he went for training? if not start with his last known address and google the nearest order. Hope this helps, good luck, Lou

I know he was a priest, and have no information on him at all. So I thought I would start by finding his Death. Does anyone know if a priest's death was recorded in the Registry Office or would I have to refer to the church? Ann
