I can't view my tree!

There are a few things you should check. The following is taken from the GR faq page (see left) In particular make sure your internet cache is not full by clearing out your temp pages on a regular basis. ''If you click on Family Tree your tree will open in a new window. You must make sure you allow pop-ups. You also need the latest version of Macromedia flash. If you don't have it you can download it from this link: http://www.adobe*com/shockwave/download/download*cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash&promoid=BIOW If this is not successful then please try pressing control and F5 on your keyboard. This will clear your cache and refresh the page''

Sam I get a problem very often when trying to view my tree. It comes up with an error and closes anything to do with Genes but if I keep trying to open my tree it will eventually open. I thought it was something to do with my computer but it happens on my husbands and my daughter tried it at work and on her home computer with the same result. This has been happening since they changed the tree's to the new ones. I find I have more chance of opening it if I make sure the Gene's first page opens fully and I scroll to the very bottom of the page and back up before I try to open my tree. I think the main problem comes from all the adverts on Gene's pages, you have to wait for them to load and start moving. Christine

Seems not.From FAQ's The Support Team's working hours are Monday to Friday 8am - 6pm and we will answer all emails within 2-3 days.

I think it will be Monday before you get a reply. Whenever there have been problems with people posting things they shouldn't on the boards, it is usually left over the weekend before it is sorted out, so I don't think they work over the weekend, although I think they should. Kath. x

There are two errors that keep comming up. Have sent a message to support but does anyone know if they there at the weekend? sam x
