Paul, I'm from Toronto (Ontario). I've always received excellent help when I've contacted the cemetery offices in Toronto. Knowing that Brussels was a small town, you might try contacting the cemeteries in the area?

Thanks Lisa. I had already seen that site but you prompted me to revisit it. You know, there's no reason why a successful farmer shouldn't invest in an unrelated business, so you may be on to something with Robert Theuill. I'll see what I can find. I noticed the website says: The local newspaper, The Post, printed its first issue in July 1, 1873. After a struggle to establish itself, it became the longest-running newspaper in Brussels history. bearing in mind what you say about the small population, maybe there's a chance that Sarah got a mention in it. Something else to follow up then.

Paul, can't help you with a census, but have you seen this site: http://www*huroneast*com/events/doorsopen_brussels.php (replace * with .) It mentions a 'Robert Thuell.' Also, it looks like there weren't too many people living in the town in the late 1800's. (Which might be helpful.) PS Just noticed you did make reference to a farmer. Oh well. Skip the Robert from above.

Does anybody have access to the census that covers the town of Brussels, Huron North, Ontario in 1891. My ancestor's sister Sarah Stewart was sent to live with a farmer with the initials RT as a 10-year old child in 1882. I'm hoping she may turn up on the 1891 census.
