does the quality on the word document look better than the one you saved, if it does, you can do a screen capture of the page - just hit the prtscr button on your keyboard and then paste into infranview

Following your tips, I have managed to save it - but it is a bit pixelly - guess there is no cure for that (the original wasn't the clearest to begin with). Thanks for your help. Margaret

Is there a particular reason you need to open it in your graphics viewer? You say it was 'saved as a Word document' - do you mean it was inserted into a word doc or how was it saved? If it was just inserted then you should be able to click onto the 'picture' of the cert and save it as whatever you want. regards Looby ps - have just tried it with an old document of my own with a pic in it, right click on pic, copy it, open your viewer and 'paste as new image' - should work OK

Hi. I received a copy of a death certificate that was saved as a word document. How do I go about saving it as a jpeg or similar so that I can open it with my graphics viewer (IrfanView)? I have Windows 98SE.
