Roger, Historical electoral Rolls do not exist on the internet for most areas for most eras (99.9%).....they are all in the Library or Record Office pertaining to the area......you have to contact the Library/Archive that covers that area and see if they will do a lookup for you.....most charge these days as it takes up librarians time and a lot of the units are self funding. The logistical task of making electoral rolls available on the net, year by year ,and by area is too immense even in this technological age.If someone offers to do it for you consider yourself very fortunate !! Enfield Library?record office has been checked and in the familia site they state they dont do lookups...they have rolls from 1924 onwards. Looks like a low budget facility-their website hasnt been maintained properly-you may have better luck with the greater London Metropolitan Archives ( GLMA) Enfield Library>>>>.. try phoning for an up to date state of affairs (we can call from GB using discount services on the net for as little as 1p per min to other countries-dont know if you have the same ) Southgate Town Hall Green Lanes London N13 4LD Tel: 0181 982 7453 Fax: 0181 982 7378 Email: Contact: Graham Dalling, Local History Librarian |

Hell, I am in New Zealand so cannot do this myself.. Would like as many electoral Rolls as possible checked up until 1957 for an Address: 46,Elm Park Avenue, Winchmore Hill, London,N.21. Interested particularly but not only in residents: Arabella Haynes Frederick James Jackson. Can anybody do this and probably solve a mystery for me please. Kind regards, Roger |
