Sylvia Try googling Civil Service. They will hold his work records, not the Min of Pen, which is now called, um, something like the Department of Pensions and National Insurance??? OC |

If he were in the Civil Service I reckon they may still have records, but whether they would release them is another question. You could try emailing the personnel department with your query - you may get SKS who would give you some help. |

Thanks Paula I had a researcher do a search for me and he managed to find little bits and pieces, services no's, regiments etc and I have his medal card. It's just that all the little personal details in the records would have been nice :-) He is listed as an Executive Officer with the Min of Pensions on one of his children's marriage certs, so sounds quite 'high up' Sylvia |

Hi Does anyone know if the Ministry of Pensions might hold archival records about staff in 1920-40's. Grandad was with them in Edinburgh, Newcastle then London and I know so little about his life...even his war records were amongst the burnt lot :-( Sylvia |
