Also, and not trying to be rude here, but bare in mind there is a war on. I'm also waiting, and fairly impatient by nature too, but I guess we have to accept our genealogical queries, however important to us, are in all probability fairly low on the MOD's list of priorities at the moment. |

I got my father's and my father-in law's records (although this was a couple of years ago and not recently). My father-in-law's took 9 months, but my father's only took 3 months. Don't know what the wait time is at the moment, but it depends on how many requests they get from ex-servicemen themselves for welfare reasons, as I was told these take priority over family history based requests. Hi all. I sent off for some records at the end of Jan, and although they said it will take about 8 months, I am hoping that they might come earlier as I have read on the boards that some people have had them after 3 weeks. Is there anyone out there who has had any records back recently, and if so how long did they take. Impatient as always, Jelly |
