That's a great idea. I hope other crematoria decide to do the same. I always go to see my parent's entry in the Book of Rememberance on the anniversary, but my two sisters, who both live abroad, never seem to be able to get home at the right time to do this, so it would be great for them to be able to see the entry at other times when the are in England. Thanks for letting us know. It means I can ask about it on my next visit. Kath. x |

Hi The Isle of Wight crem has a computer as well and I looked up all my ancestors entries using it, very interesting to see what the inscription was entered. Regards Joanna |

I went to the crem today to see my mothers entry in the 'Book of Rembrance' as I wanted to take a photograph of it. What a lovely surprise I had. In the past you can only view the entry on the anniversary of death but Worthing Crematorium has a machine there now and you can see a scan of the entry at any time. Great, I was able to photograph my Dad's as well without having to wait till next year as we will be away on his anniversary. Probably other crem's have the same so check with them if you want to see an entry. |
