Hi Firstly he wont have a birth certificate he was born before 1837. If married to Susan after 1837 there is a likely hood he has a Marriage certificate and this will record his fathers name. If not however you'll need to search parish records of baptisims and marriages at The Record's Office . Sometimes you can buy various parish records on CD from family history societies etc. You could get lucky also ONLINE. A good website to use as a GUIDE ( to check against Parish Records when you have more time) is the LDS website : http://www.familysearch.org/Eng/Search/frameset_search.asp Another fav is Family History Online : http://www*familyhistoryonline*net/ Replace the * with a .
