I've heard of people marrying twice in one day or days apart so it is possable. Depending on when the marriage took place it could be a multi-faith/denomination marriage or the bride and groom lived in different parishes so married twice. Also it use to happen when some churches could not marry you in the eyes of the law. |

Would it be likely that a couple got married twice within a couple of weeks at different Parishes? For example I have a couple marrying on 1 March in Renfrew and then on the 16 Mar in Abbey,Paisley |

Maybe this is relevant to English marriages as well but...... |
