Is there any way to look up an address in the 1861 Scotland census? I'm trying to find whoever was at 3 Queen's Terrace, Ayr. |

Hi Put Ayshire in the 'Residence' County Box, and 3 Queens Terrace in the 'Keywords box', I have found that this seems to work for addresses on all the Scottish census. Gail. x |

Thanks very much! It's a bit of a counterintuitive method. Well, now I know who was living in the house in which my great grandfather was born two years earlier. And sadly it wasn't his mother's sister, so far as I can see. Worth a try, though! |
