question about comments on a baptismal entry

On a microfil listing baptisms in 1945 i found an entry which i was looking for but next to the entry it said the following '2 weeks private' does anyone know what this means? any help would be appreciated thank you |

Probably age two weeks, and Private baptism probably in the home, possibly because the child was not expected to live. |

privet and oublic refer to how the baptisum was done. Private is either at home ot in church with just the prist, parents and godparents preasent Public is in front of the whole congregarition.. 2 weeks could be the age. my lot gave ages of 10d, 6m, 10w and 2y depending on the childs age. also seen some that said adult. |
