Can anyone help? I have an Andrew Mcfadyen born Ireland around 1847 on the 1871 census. His father was WIlliam Mcfadyen and mother Agnes McCracken. I can't find Andrew's birth in Ireland at all or any record of his mother and father. Denise

Had a look for you but not come up with much. Do you know the d of b of William? there is a William McFadyen on the 1851 scottish census born 1826, a lodger from ireland. There are a lot of McFadyens from Ireland living in Lanarkshire, Scotland which could be a link. good luck Sue

Sue I'm sorry i don't have anymore information. They did all live in Lanarkshire though and eventually moved through to FIfe. Thanks for looking
