I have a rellie called Allison Manwaring ( a man) born 1853 in Salford. He married Frances and they had 5 children.Lived in Norfolk. He vanishes in the 1891 census, frances and children still there, she is still down as married. An Allison Manwaring appears in the 1901 census in Reading,(different date of birth tho) with new wife, step children and a boy born to them called Percy( he also had a Percy with Frances, different date). He has the same job in all census printer compositor. Do you think its the same man, as the name is so unnusual and the job is the same although the d of b is different? Mant thanks sue |

There are two Allison Manwaring's on Freebmd. Your 1853 from Salford one and one born in Reading December Quarter 1895. I know it is time consuming but it might help t trace Jane Lacey aged 75. She is described as Aunt to Allison Manwaring on the 1901. but it certainly looks like your Allison. He's just changed his date of birth...not uncommon |
