Hi Gail I used to go to school in a little village called Hampton on the Hill, Warwick was about four miles away and the children from Budbrooke barracks used to come to our school. It was in walking distance from the school. If you are interested, there are some photos in the 'Windows of Warwickshire' site.

If he was in the army, he could have been away at war in 1901. The second Boer war took place between 1899-1902. Sam x

I've found an ancestor on the 1891 census stationed at Budbrooke barracks. Someone has looked on the 1901 census for me and can't find him. Where should I look next? Thanks, Gail

I believe Budbrooke was in Warwickshire. Edgar was born in Birmingham about 1863-64. Gail
