on the 1881 census the family are living at coppice houses dawley shropshire benjamin morris head age 28 years born wombridge shropshire occupation is puddler/forgeman in ironworks emma morris wife age 27 years born shifnal shropshire harry c morris son age 1 year born dawley shropshire |

Hi Lindy Not having any better luck than you did. Have checked under every possible combo I can think of. Is it possible that if this is Benjamin's death in 1886 that Emma remarried immediately and both her and Harry on are 1891c under new hubby's name? Looking under Harry (no last name) born abt 1880 have found 1 born in Dawley with mother Emma to a Stephens, but unable to locate marriage between Emma & him (lots of kids older than Harry but was thinking might have married a widower). Sorry can't be more help Sue |
