I've looked on Ancestry and found a marriage for Herbert Edward L. Garrett - Sept. 1907 1b 581 There are only 3 names showing and I know it's not his wife. How do I go about finding out who he married? Thank you |

you could look on Ancestry BMD index its free to search and register look for his wife if you know her surname that is. if not you will have to order cert http://www.ancestry(.)co.uk/search/rectype/vital/freebmd/bmd.aspx remove brackets Jeanette |

I'm pretty sure you will have to buy the marriage certificate. Sam x |

it means the person he married hasn't been transcribed yet on to freebmd did they have any children after 1911? as if they did that would have maiden name on index Jeanette |

Margaret You could use the Family Relatives site which offers a marriage match facility which covers the period you are talking about BUT this is a pay per view site. http://www.familyrelatives.org/ Chris |

Angela, I checked for births after 1911 using Hewer as surname and looked for mother. Bambridge came up on one so obviously Herbert didn't marry her. There are too many Garrett births to be sure who he could have married!! I'm going to look on BMD again and see if I can find anything. Thanks everybody. |
