I misread you thread thought you were looking for a Birth in 1861 !!!! Senior moment I think cos it didnt register when you were saying transcribers. Never mind its found anyway/ Shirley

Kath, Yes checked the details. Printout says RG number: RG09 Piece: 1235 Folio: 14 Page: 23 Reg District: Guiltcross Sub District: 1 Banham Enum. District: 1 Parish: Banham Blowed if I can get the image on Ancestry with those details. Maureen

Ancestry say these pages are missing in 1861 but 1235 is not there.... I don't think it's mistranscribed, Reg, but you can have a go if you want. Name is Jonah Hazell, b1805 Norfolk. Also not there is wife Eliza, b1811 and son Charles, b1849.

Mistranscribed? Give us some names etc...........let us have a 'dig' I found one family today on Ancestry, where the father and mother were supposedly ANN and EMMA!! Reg

Looking for someone in 1861, can't find them. Assume then dead - but no - they died in 1870 (name not very common). Have a look on Findmypast - and there they are, large as life! Shame I don't have any credits for it lol

I don't understand Ancestry either...can't find myself on it, but as you say....Large as life on FindMyPast. There must be an explanation. Hopefully someone can explain. Tina x

Ancestry and Findmypast appear to have used different transcribers so you will get different results. Maureen
