Thanks all I think the Eliza version is probably the closest, but will have to wait 'til the 1911 census comes along. Only a few more years to wait!! G |

The Wingate/Peterlee area records (which seem to be the correct ones) were listed under Easington up to 1895 and there is an Eliza Ball (1895) and an Elizabeth Ball (1894) shown. It looks like the enumerator may have been trying to write Liza or Lizzie I reckon. Jack |

She is given as being born in Station Town (Hutton Henry Colliery) which is near Hartlepool, so am just checking births for you. Jack |

Could anyone help with a girl's name shown on 1901 Durham census,RG13/4672,Folio 64, Page 67. She is the 6 year old daughter of Herbert Ball. Can't find a likely birth in bmd records. Any help appreciated! G |
